Siedah Garrett

Siedah Garrett (* 24. June 1960 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American R & B - singer and songwriter .

biography

In 1984 Garrett had a single hit duo with Dennis Edwards , Don't Look Any Further . She became internationally known in 1987 when she released the song I Just Can't Stop Loving You in a duet with Michael Jackson and reached the top of the international charts. For Jackson she also wrote his 1988 hit Man in the Mirror , which she recorded in a separate version for her 2003 album Siedah . From 1996 Garrett was part of the band Brand New Heavies . They also collaborated with other artists, including Quincy Jones , Freemasons , Sérgio Mendes and will.i.am .
