The type 69 is a multi-purpose cargo ship type of the Sietas shipyard in Hamburg-Neuenfelde , of which two units were built in 1971 with the Bomberg and the Jork .

history

Launched by the Hamburg shipping company ordered Friedrich & Hans Osterwisch type ship Bomberg did his on Oct. 12, 1971 launch and was delivered from the shipyard on 2 December 1971 respectively. When it was chartered out, it was named Roxanne Kersten from 1977 to 1980 . The Bomberg was put on the chain in Rotterdam (Netherlands) on March 31, 1983 and acquired in a foreclosure auction on May 4, 1983 by the Hamburg shipping company Bauer & Hauschildt, which gave it the name Deichland . On September 4, 1992, the ship chartered to CMA ran aground as Ville D'Aurore on a voyage from Damiette ( Egypt ) to Istanbul ( Turkey ) near Lipsi off the uninhabited Greek island of Saraki. It was then towed to Piraeus , sold there as a trailer in December 1992 and, after being repaired, put back into service as Europe in May 1993 . After further sales and renaming, the ship was named Anja Funk in 2001 . On October 15, 2014, the Anja Funk arrived in Aliağa (Turkey) for demolition , where scrapping began a week later.

The second type 69 ship, the Jork , was delivered to the correspondent shipping company Johnny Gährs in Kingdom on December 29, 1971 and was initially used for the Hamburg shipping company Gehrckens . From 1975 to 1977 it was called Scol Valiant . On May 27, 1986, the Jork ran aground on a voyage from Bombay ( India ) to Suez (Egypt) in the Red Sea and then sank as a result of the water ingress.

technology

The type 69, manufactured in sectional construction, was based on the type 67 that was created in parallel . However, it was around 1.80 meters longer and had an intermediate deck in the hold . The individual box-shaped cargo hold had a grain volume of 4,689 m³ (4,587 m³ ball space) and was equipped with hydraulic folding hatch covers . The hatch size was 51.00 meters by 10.20 meters. The type 69 had a load capacity of 2,580  dwt and could stow up to 148  20-foot standard containers (TEU). In December 1994 the Karat II (formerly Bomberg ) , which had been repaired a year earlier, was re-measured with 2,488  GT , 3,598 dwt and a draft of 6.21 m .

Both ships were powered by a 2,355  kW payable eight-cylinder diesel engine of the type Klockner-Humboldt-Deutz RBV 8M 540 to a variable pitch worked. The Jork had upon delivery a bow side mounted NMF -Schwenkkran and a movable NMF crane. Both cranes had a load capacity of 12 t each. The slewing crane was subsequently replaced by a second movable slewing crane. The delivery of the Bomberg took place without loading gear .
