history

The existence of a glassworks belonging to the Eisenberg lordship on the Kleine March has been documented since 1437 , around which the Glasdorfl settlement developed. In 1677 the hoof register for the place shows seven old and two new properties, including three farmers and four gardeners. In 1689 the glassmaker Peter Hanzel sold the glassworks to the Goldenstein family . This had the hut demolished and the land parceled out to 31 settlers. In 1834 the village consisted of 42 houses and had 324 inhabitants.

After the abolition of patrimonial Glasdorfl / Sklenov formed a political municipality in the Mährisch Schönberg district from 1850 and belonged to the old town judicial district . During this time, a single-class village school was set up. There was a water mill in the village and a mechanical weaving mill was built in 1902. At the end of the 19th century the population began to decline in the mountain village. In 1900 Glasdorfl had 353 German residents who lived in 69 houses. In 1930 the place had only 293 inhabitants. As a result of the Munich Agreement , the municipality was added to the German Reich in 1938 and initially belonged to the Mährisch Schönberg district . In 1939 Glasdörfel had 276 inhabitants. In the course of a reorganization of the Sudeten German districts, the Moravian village was assigned to the Bohemian district of Grulich on May 1, 1939 , where it remained until 1945. After the Second World War, the German residents were expelled . In 1948 the village was incorporated into Malá Morava and at the same time came back to Okres Šumperk . In 1950 only 111 people lived in the 65 houses. During this time, the weaving mill also stopped production and the population of Sklené fell steadily. In 1991 only five houses in the village were permanently used for residential purposes and Sklené had 18 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 11 houses in which 23 people lived.
