In 1809 Solec came to the Duchy of Warsaw and in 1815 to the Kingdom of Poland (Congress Poland ), which was under Russian rule , whose fate it shared until 1918. After the end of the First World War , the place came back to the newly formed Poland, the Second Polish Republic , 1939 under German occupation, after 1944 to the People's Republic of Poland , which was converted into the Third Polish Republic in 1989 . In 1837 Karol Godeffroy founded the spa. In 1974 the place Solec was named Solec-Zdrój.
