The Gmina Solec-Zdrój is a rural municipality and a spa town in the Powiat Buski of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the spa town of the same name with around 850 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located in the south of the voivodeship and borders the municipality of the district and spa town of Busko-Zdrój . The Vistula is only two kilometers away. The voivodeship capital Kielce is about 60 kilometers north.
history
The rural community of Solec was founded in 1973, in 1975 it was renamed Solec-Zdrój, after 1974 its main town as a health resort was named Solec-Zdrój. Gmina Zborów existed on its territory until 1954 . From 1975 to 1998 the municipality was part of the Kielce Voivodeship .

In addition to Solec-Zdrój, the municipality includes 19 villages with school authorities: Chinków, Kików, Kolonia Zagajów, Ludwinów, Magierów, Piasek Mały, Piestrzec, Solec-Zdrój , Strażnik, Sułkowice, Świniary, Wełnin, Włosnowice, Zagaje Kajów., Zagaje Kanyów , Zborów, Zielonki and Żuków
Attractions
The wooden church in Świniary from 1716 and the castle in Zborów, the former seat of the Zborowski magnate family, are worth seeing .
