Sparkasse Radebeul

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Sparkasse Radebeul was a savings bank in the Saxon city of Radebeul . It was founded in 1876 as a savings bank association for the Lößnitz and renamed, restructured and re-established several times. As a result of the 1995/97 district reform, the three branches of the former Kreissparkasse Dresden-Land existing in Radebeul at that time were incorporated into the Kreissparkasse Meißen . Today they belong to their successors, the Sparkasse Meißen with headquarters in Riesa in Saxony .

history

On November 23, 1876, a savings bank association was founded for the Loessnitz . On January 13, 1877, the first savings bank association was founded in Radebeul in the area of the Loessnitz localities . The local member of the state parliament and registrar Carl Gottlieb Barth (1819–1898) was appointed director. On August 2, 1879, the financial institute began public work as an association savings bank for the liable communities of Alt-Radebeul , Niederlößnitz , Wahnsdorf and Reichenberg in what was then Bahnhofstrasse 1 (in the previous building of today's Hauptstrasse 1 ). In 1879 the savings bank statutes were confirmed as regulatory .

From 1889, the savings bank was housed in its own building at Sidonienstraße 3. In 1898, the year of Barth's death, a permanent official took over the management of the business, while the Radebeul community board usually took over the chairmanship of the committee. After the construction of the Radebeul town hall at the beginning of the 20th century, the Sparkasse, as well as the registry office and other public institutions, moved into premises there. In 1905, when it was incorporated into Radebeul, the previous municipality of Serkowitz was included in the regulatory framework. In 1909 giro traffic was introduced.

With the merger of Kötzschenbroda, Zitzschewig , Naundorf and Niederlößnitz in 1923 to form the new large municipality of Kötzschenbroda , Niederlößnitz left the Radebeul savings bank association and became part of the Kötzschenbrodaer Sparkasse . The hyperinflation of 1923 destroyed the Radebeul savings bank assets. In the same year, the villa community of Oberlößnitz joined; the association savings bank changed its name to the community association for the Sparkasse zu Radebeul-Oberlößnitz in Radebeul ( association savings bank Radebeul-Oberlößnitz for short ) and moved to the Oberlößnitz town hall . In 1925, the Sparkasse bought a plot of land for future own rooms in the Radebeul district opposite the Radebeul train station , at Sidonienstrasse 5. The Sparkassenverband decided to give newborns a savings account with a deposit of 3 marks. In the following year, 1926, the community of Boxdorf joined the savings bank association; a school savings bank was set up in the same year . In 1930 the office was opened in Sidonienstraße.

With the merger of Radebeul and Kötzschenbroda at the beginning of 1935, the Sparkasse in Kötzschenbroda changed its name to Stadtsparkasse Radebeul-West . In 1944 the law was passed to reorganize the Saxon savings and giro banks . The Spar- und Girokasse Radebeul , which was newly founded due to the legal regulations , not only became the legal successor of the Stadtsparkasse Radebeul-West and the Verbandssparkasse Radebeul-Oberlößnitz , but also took over the entire savings bank system of the communities on the right Elbe, Klotzsche , Hellerau , Moritzburg , Friedewald , Wilschdorf and the left Elbe Cossebaude . While the savings department remained in the existing rooms, the giro department was relocated to the Radebeul town hall.

After the end of World War II, all savings banks in the Soviet occupation zone were closed. With the reorganization of the savings bank system, the Zweckverband was liquidated; the following day, August 15, 1945, new savings banks were founded. The new Stadtsparkasse Radebeul had its headquarters at Sidonienstraße 5, and it had a branch in their house in Kötzschenbroda . In 1950 it merged with the Kreissparkasse Dresden and in 1951 with the Stadtsparkasse Dresden . In 1957, the Kreissparkasse Dresden-Land was formed, which supplied the district of Dresden-Land with 13 branches, two of them in Radebeul, and other operational and local branches . In 1961 the Radebeul-Ost branch moved to the former "Café Bismarck" at 27 Hauptstrasse .

The Sparkasse set up the first ATM in the district in 1986; it came from the only machine manufacturer in the GDR, Radebeul weighing technology Rapido . In Radebeul-West the first ATM was only available in 1991. In the same year the account number was changed to the Lower Saxony system; EC cards were also issued for the first time.

As a result of the 1995 district reform, the three Radebeul savings bank branches (including the middle branch opened in the meantime ) came to the Kreissparkasse Meißen in January 1997 , which later became the Sparkasse Meißen due to the district merger.
