Spielberg is a town and a cadastral municipality in the Bad Traunstein municipality in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 37 building areas with 14,096 m² and 22 gardens on 1,824 m² in the cadastral municipality of Spielberg , in 1989/1990 there were 37 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased to 123 and in 2009/2010 there were 77 buildings on 128 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 213 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of 1979/1980 and 170 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 201 hectares and 177 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 195 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 178 hectares. Spielberg's average soil climate number is 29.4 (as of 2010).
