Kaltenbach is a village and a cadastral municipality in the Bad Traunstein municipality in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 22 building areas with 8,897 m² and 1 garden on 81 m² in the cadastral community of Kaltenbach , in 1989/1990 there were 22 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 47 and in 2009/2010 there were 35 buildings on 56 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 124 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of 1979/1980 and 143 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 122 hectares and 144 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 113 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 147 hectares. The average soil climate number of Kaltenbach is 26.1 (as of 2010).
