sport.de is a German-language website on the subject of sport based in Münster and Cologne . The focus is on reporting on sports events around the globe using live tickers , in particular on team sports such as football , as well as current sports news. history

At the end of 2002 RTL Interactive GmbH (then still RTL Newmedia GmbH ) acquired the web address www.sport.de and launched the new sports portal on March 3, 2003. Under the editorial sovereignty of the company's own digital sports editorial team, the offer developed into a contact point for current sports reports. Sport.de has been operated by RTL interactive in Cologne since 2015 in cooperation with HEIM: SPIEL Medien GmbH & Co. KG in Münster .
