Stürler
The von Stürler family is a Bernese patrician family that has owned the city of Bern as a citizen since the 14th century and is now part of the Ober-Gerwern Society and the Guild Society of the Monkey .
history
With Hans Stürler, member of the Bernese Grand Council, in 1472 a member of the sex is accessible for the first time in terms of sources. His son Peter Stürler became Venner to Gerwern. All living Stürler descend from Gilgian Stürler and his wife Anna von Mülinen , a great-granddaughter of Adrian von Bubenberg . The sex has had the title of nobility since 1806, which goes back to the decree of 1783. Several Stürler settled as merchants in the Netherlands and as large landowners on Java.
The family owned the Freiherrschaft Belp , the lords of Begnins , Bümpliz, Chardonne VD , Féchy, Rossens , Scheunen, Serraux and Toffen , the estates of Schloss Jegenstorf , Schloss Gümligen , Campagne Oberried and the vineyard Cotterd .
