St. Andreas is a church building of the Roman Catholic Church in Harthausen , a district of the Upper Bavarian community Grasbrunn in the district of Munich . The church is dedicated to St. Andrew the Apostle and serves as a branch church of the parish of St. Martin in Zorneding . The building is registered as a monument in the Bavarian List of Monuments .

location

The church is located in the historic center of Harthausen at the confluence of the Kirchweg in the main street. Their orientation deviates from the ideal east by about 10 ° to the south. It is surrounded by a walled church cemetery .

history

The core of the building dates from the Gothic period . In 1870 the nave was extended to include a window axis to the west. A gallery was built in the dismantled part. At this time the tower was given a pointed helmet . During a restoration in 1946/1947, an entrance area was added to the west side. Another restoration of the exterior was carried out in 1977, and from 1986 a restoration of the interior.

The church building is about 20 meters long and 8 meters wide and has a gable roof . A bell tower is in front of it on the east side , which has a square floor plan with a side length of about 3 meters up to just above the roof ridge . Above that follows an octagonal structure with a pointed helmet .

Inside, St. Andreas is a single-aisled hall church with a flat ceiling . A ceiling painting depicts the calling of the Apostle Andrew. A pointed arch leads into the retracted choir, which has a square floor plan and is vaulted by a Gothic groin vault.

Furnishing

The high altar dates from around 1660/1670. A modern figure of St. Andrew stands above the tabernacle decorated with fittings , framed by two columns and flanked by figures of St. John the Baptist and Lawrence . The extract from the altar shows a representation of God the Father .

The side altars date from the end of the 17th century, the paintings in them from 1850. The left side altar shows a portrait of Mary and the excerpts of Saints Sebastian and Florian , the right side altar of Saint Leonhard and the excerpt shows the Trinity .

On the right nave wall hangs a crucifix with a Sorrowful Mother from the first half of the 18th century, opposite to it on the left nave wall a group of figures of the Holy Family of the holy walk type . The former altarpiece of the high altar with a painting of St. Andrew hangs on the left side wall next to the organ gallery .

Additional features include a way of the cross along the two nave walls and an organ in the organ gallery.
