In 1931 the altar relief was replaced by a relief by the artist Johann Lendner from Spiegelau . The Stations of the Cross created the painter Guntram Lautenbacher from Regensburg in 1924 .

In 1947 the side altars were rebuilt according to the plans of the architect Lautenbacher, the painter Franz Doll from Düsseldorf created the paintings for the two side altars: "Mariä Heimsuchung" and "Gang nach Emmaus" and the new way of the cross ; the painting of St. Karl Borromeo is also by Franz Doll. In 1977 the church was renovated. According to the guidelines of the Second Vatican Council , which emphasized the celebration of the divine service as word worship and Eucharistic celebration by the whole community, the artist Wolf Hirtreiter (Frauenau, later Munich) created a new altar and an ambo for the proclamation . On February 19, 1978, Bishop Antonius Hofmann consecrated the new altar. The bronze relief on the altar depicts the four evangelists ; the bronze relief on the ambo the word of God , which - like a seed - falls into the earth / into our heart and bears fruit.
