St. Martin (Eicks)
The Catholic parish church of St. Martin is a listed church building in Eicks , a district of Mechernich in the Euskirchen district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
History and architecture
A small hall church from the 11th century and a three-aisled building from the 12th century are proven as predecessor churches.
The simple quarry stone hall with a rectangular choir and a western tower in front was built in 1768. The interior is barrel vaulted . The simple baroque furnishings were restored from 1974/75. The six-sided pulpit from 1656 is remarkable. It comes from the Church of St. Martin in Zülpich.
