Eicks is a district of Mechernich in the Euskirchen district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

The village is northwest of Kommern . District roads 20 and 27 meet in the village. The Rotbach , which is called Bruchbach between Glehn and Eicks, flows through Eicks .

In the village there is the parish church of St. Martin and 700 m away the forest chapel, a Lady Chapel from 1782.

On July 1, 1969, Eicks was incorporated into Mechernich.

Eicks Castle

Eicks Castle is a late baroque , two-part moated castle . It was built as a Fronhof in the 14th century . A reign of Eick was first mentioned in 1344. The three-winged outer bailey was rebuilt in the 17th century . The manor house was built in the same century .

The castle is privately owned and inhabited. Many events take place at the castle, such as the annual BurgFest.
