Gehn is a district of Mechernich , Euskirchen district , North Rhine-Westphalia .

The village is north of Kommern in the Mechernicher Voreifel . The federal road 477 runs through the village .

There are very striking buildings along the main thoroughfare that are part of Gehnerburg. Construction began by Duke Leopold Philipp, Imperial Field Marshal and real Privy Councilor of State, in 1747; it was never completed. It was planned to build the castle on today's federal road 477 , at that time there was no connection to Zülpich .

A large avenue lined the Sackstrasse from Kommern to Gehn, later there was a tram like a sack station. There is also an old brick factory in Gehn, which ceased production in the late 1960s. There are now some commercial establishments here.
