Bergbuir is a district of Mechernich , Euskirchen district , North Rhine-Westphalia .

The village is located on the northwestern edge of the urban area in the Eifel National Park and borders directly on the Düren district .

The St. Barbara Chapel stands high above the town. There is also a youth hall (the community center ) and a very active community.

The place is known for hosting a horseshoe target, which is held every year on the 3rd Sunday in June.

State road 169 runs through the village and branches off from federal road 265 in the neighboring town of Hergarten .
