St. Ursula (Martinfeld)
The Church of St. Ursula is the Roman Catholic branch church in Martinfeld , a district of the Schimberg community in the Eichsfeld district of Thuringia . The filial community Martinsfeld belongs to the parish Ershausen in the deanery Dingelstaedt of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Erfurt .

The hall church was built from rubble stones in 1723 according to plans by MH Börnes . The tower is much older, it was originally the bower of the Hanstein mansion . The building inscription on the portal in the west shows the year 1674. The rectangular nave has a three-sided end of the choir , in the west the transverse rectangular bell tower is flush. The top floor of the tower is slated . The tower clock is in it . Above it sits an eight-page essay, behind thatThe bell chair is sound arcades . The bell was cast by the bell founder Hans Rese in 1505. On the bell neck is a line of writing between deaf bands , including a relief with a portrait of Mary , a crucifix and St. Ursula and Anna the same . The tower is covered with a polygonal dome . In the choir there is a Mainz coat of arms and a building inscription.
The interior is covered with a wooden barrel vault. The tower room is open to the nave with a round arch . The high altar from around 1730/1740 comes from the Beuren monastery . Lightly polychrome and gilded sculptures of a crucifixion group stand between columns made of stucco marble . In conversation Enge originally on a relief five wounds of Christ , surrounded by angels with the Passion shown. It is now in the side altar, also a work from Beuren Abbey. Saint Ursula and the apostle Paul stand above him . On the south wall there is a wooden relief from around 1510 with the crucifixion . The shrine of a winged altar comes from elsewhere.
The organ with 14 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was built in 1989 by Orgelbau Schönefeld .
