history

Northern entrance to the village

The Staakmühle was first mentioned in a document in 1510 as the Staack Mühle . Before 1510 it was owned by the Landsberg taverns and was thus part of the Schenkenländchen in the Teupitz lordship . Before the Thirty Years War , only one mill with one wheel was reported. She fell in the war desolation , because 1664 was the "States Kishen Heath with a mistimed mill site reported". During this time, the district became the property of the Stutterheim family , initially resold, later hereditary. From 1685 the water mill to part manor of William of Stutterheim, which in the years 1717 and 1718 to a sheep farm and a Vorwerk had been extended, from which the existing in the 21st century place Staakow emerged. In 1711 the miller, a shepherd, a servant and two pairs of householders lived in the village. In 1718 the Staakowmühle came under the rule of Königs Wusterhausen and was administered by the Buchholz office. From 1743 the first watermill was built with a corridor together with a sawmill , the old mill building was replaced by a new building made of bricks around 1860. In 1771 there was the miller, six pairs of housekeepers and the shepherd servant.

In 1801 only one watermill was reported; 1840 from a watermill with a house. A farmer lived there in 1858 with three male and female servants and four day laborers. The yard was 110 acres ; there was also a pensioner (rentier) for the first time. In 1860 the district consisted of 134 acres, including 68 acres of meadow, 42 acres of fields, 21 acres of peat and three acres of farmsteads. There were two residential and six farm buildings, including a water grain, saw, and oil mill.

In 1920 the mill area was expanded and a bakery was built , which was operated until 1990. In 1929 it was incorporated into the Staakow district and in 1932 it was a residential area. In 1969 the VEB Vereinigte Mühlenwerke Wilhelm-Pieck-Stadt Guben existed with the Staakmühle plant. In the 21st century, the mill building is unused and in ruins.

Due to its location the village of Staakmühle was almost always divided. Under feudal rule, the western part of the village, including the watermill, belonged to the von Stutterheim family, while the smaller eastern part belonged to the Schenkenlandchen . After the Congress of Vienna and then following circle neoplasms of the entire place to belong district Luckau in the administrative district of Frankfurt , the Briesener part changed on 1 July 1950 in the district of Lübben . In GDR times, the western part of Staakmühle belonged to the Luckau district in the Cottbus district and the eastern part to the Königs Wusterhausen district in the Potsdam district . On December 31, 2001 Staakow was incorporated into Rietzneuendorf-Staakow , Briesen has belonged to the municipality of Halbe since October 26, 2003 . Thus the town of Staakmühle belongs partly to the Unterspreewald office and partly to the Schenkenländchen office .
