Map with all coordinates: The Bavarian State Road 2227 runs through Middle Franconia and a short section through Upper Bavaria . It begins and ends on State Road 2228. From Burgsalach it runs over the Jura to Ruppmannsburg . From Ruppmannsburg to Thalmässing running state road 2225 on the same street. Then the road runs to Kinding in the Thalach and Schwarzach valleys . In the area between Greding and Kinding, the road also runs parallel to the A9 federal motorway. However, it is not suitable as a detour to the motorway, as the road, with a total width of 5 meters, is too narrow and the condition is very poor so that you can drive past each other.
In 2013 and 2014 the section between the Untermässing and Greding junction was renewed. In 2017 the area of the Kleinhöbing junction was renovated and redesigned.

Further planning
There are plans for the federal highway 131n between Thalmässing and Greding . In the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan 2030 , the route again lost its planning rights and is therefore in the lowest category of the Transport Infrastructure Plan .
