Aue ( pronunciation ? / I ) is a district of the Thalmässing market and a district in the Central Franconian district of Roth in Bavaria . Audio file / audio sample

location

The church village is located in the north of the Altmühltal Nature Park on the south-western slope of the 553 m high Auer Mountain, around two and a half kilometers east of Thalmässing. The nearest larger cities are Greding and Heideck , eight and eleven kilometers away.

history

The Lords of Owe had their residence on the Auer Berg in the 12th century, today's Burgstall Burschel . Later they built a castle next to today's St. Ottilien church. The family died out in the 16th century.

The formerly independent municipality with its district Kochsmühle was incorporated into Thalmässing in 1972 as part of the municipal reform.

economy

In Aue there is a mixture of trade and agriculture. Animal husbandry has declined.

Local roads connect the place with Schwimbach and via the state road 2227 with Thalmässing and the 2.5 kilometers east running motorway A 9 .

On the weekend of the harvest festival , usually the first Sunday in October, a parish fair is celebrated. The volunteer fire brigade organizes the festivities, such as B. Kirchweih, Brunnenfest and the solstice celebration.
