The Kochsmühle is part of the municipality of the Thalmässing market in the district of Roth in the administrative region of Middle Franconia in Bavaria .

location

The deserted property is located on the Hagenicher Mühlbach , near its confluence with the Thalach and southeast of the community center on State Road 2227 . It can also be reached from the district road RH 33 .

history

The mill was probably first mentioned in a document in 1281.

Towards the end of the Old Empire, it was subject to the high court of Brandenburg-Ansbach until 1796 , and from 1796 Prussian Landvogtei-Oberamt Stauf-Landeck. The office of judge was exercised by the Eichstätt cathedral chapter as landlord. Ecclesiastically it was assigned to the St. Gotthard branch church of the Protestant parish of Thalmässing.

In the new Kingdom of Bavaria (1806), Aue, Westerholz (ceded in 1890) and Kochsmühle were formed into the rural community of Aue with the municipal edict of 1818 , initially in the Schwimbach tax district , renamed the Offenbau tax district in 1816 . From 1809 this belonged to the Raitenbuch regional court , from 1812 to the Greding regional court , and finally from 1929 to the Hilpoltstein Rent Office.

In 1871 the mill consisted of four buildings. The miller was also an economist, he owned three horses and eleven head of cattle. The children attended the Protestant school in Aue.

Since July 1, 1972, the Kochsmühle has been incorporated into the Thalmässing market. Today a horse pension is operated here.
