history

Church of St. John Evangelist

In the 12th century Lohen was the seat of a noble family, whose traces have been lost. The place belonged to the Pfalz-Neuburg area. It was pledged to Nuremberg in 1542, which immediately introduced the Reformation , but was triggered again by Pfalz-Neuburg in 1585.

The formerly independent municipality with its district Kammühle was incorporated into Thalmässing in 1972 as part of the municipal reform.

traffic

The main street of the village is the state road 2391 from Untermässing to Offenbau . A local road leads to Dixenhausen . Driveways to the A 9 running immediately to the east are the AS 56 ( Hilpoltstein ) to the north and the AS 57 ( Greding ) to the south, 8 and 9 km away.

Attractions

The Catholic Church of St. John the Evangelist with its baroque fittings dates mainly from the 18th century, the basement of the tower from the Middle Ages .

Others

The center of the place is the self-built village house. The church fair is celebrated there on the second weekend in October .
