Tiefenbach is a district in the north of the market Thalmässing in the Central Franconian district of Roth in Bavaria .

location

The church village is located around five kilometers northwest of Thalmässing on the municipal border with Hilpoltstein . The Tiefenbacher Graben, a tributary of the Roth , flows northwest in its valley past the village.

history

Tiefenbach was first mentioned in a document in 1129. In 1754 the Protestant church was built.

The formerly independent municipality with the districts Lochmühle and Oberrödel was dissolved in the course of the municipal reform in 1972. Tiefenbach was incorporated into Thalmässing , the two districts came to Hilpoltstein.
