Landersdorf is located in the Altmühltal Nature Park in Middle Franconia . In the north and east the place is bordered by slopes, in the south-west the Franconian Jura joins.
history
Archaeological excavation finds reveal a settlement as early as the Neolithic Age . A Celtic burial ground dates from the early Iron Age . The place was first mentioned in a document in 1150. The name is likely derived from a man named Landof or Landhart. In 1818 Landersdorf became an independent municipality with the districts Göllersreuth , Kätzelmühle , Hundszell and Feinschluck . On July 1, 1971, the community was incorporated into the Thalmässing market.

Regular events
The annual parish fair takes place every first Sunday in July, commemorating the consecration of the Church of St. Jacobus. Thanks to the commitment of ELJ Landersdorf, the parish fair is known far beyond the Thalmässing market and is considered the most prestigious parish fair in the region around Stauf .
Every week the ELJ Landersdorf meets on Sunday evening to sing, dance and have fun in the local school building.
The Celtic Festival takes place every third Sunday in September in the historical village of Landersdorf . The Celtic friends from the Natural History Society of Nuremberg and the Association of Pre u. Early history Landersdorf e. V. celebrate there in a Celtic environment. The historical village is freely accessible all year round. Events (such as children's birthdays, but also experiences in "Life like the Celts" etc.) are possible at any time by prior arrangement.
