Ohlangen is a district of the Thalmässing market in the Middle Franconian district of Roth in Bavaria .
location
The church village lies below the Jura plateau , around three kilometers west of Thalmässing. The Ohlach rises in Ohlangen, joins other source streams and flows into the Thalach between Alfershausen and Thalmässing .
Ohlangen is the only Catholic place in the Thalmässing market with its St. Gregorius church. The place is Catholic due to its affiliation to Heideck.
history
The first documented mention of Ohlangen dates from 1329, a pastor Peter is mentioned here. In 1454 Ohlangen was its own parish with the Lords of Heideck as patron saints.
The formerly independent municipality with its district Rabenreuth was incorporated into Thalmässing on July 1, 1971 in the course of the municipal reform.
