Opera line-ups at the Vienna Chamber Opera from 2012

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list of the opera line-ups of the Vienna Chamber Opera from 2012 shows all the line-ups in operas of the Vienna Chamber Opera since 2012.

At the beginning of the 2012/13 season, the management of the Vienna Chamber Opera was transferred to the Theater an der Wien . Since then, it has engaged six to seven young singers every year, the Young Ensemble of the Theater an der Wien . These up-and-coming artists, most of whom have won several international competitions, sing leading roles in the chamber opera and supporting roles in the main house. The repertoire of the chamber opera has two main focuses: baroque opera and modern opera . Occasionally, great classics are also performed with a small cast, for example La Bohème in 2013 and Eugen Onegin in 2014 .
