The De Vliert stadium (through sponsorship agreement Timmermans Infra Stadion De Vliert ) is a football stadium in the southern Dutch city of 's-Hertogenbosch , capital of the province of North Brabant . The football club FC Den Bosch uses the stadium for its home games.

history

The original stadium was built in 1951, u. a. with the Olympic athletics champion Fanny Blankers-Koen . At that time the sports facility had an athletics facility , held 30,000 spectators and was one of the largest stadiums in the Netherlands at the time. In 1997 the old stadium was demolished and replaced by a new one without a running track. The playing field was rotated by 90 °. The new home of FC Den Bosch consists of four individual, covered grandstands with a capacity of 8,500 visitors. In the four open corners of the stadium, behind the floodlight masts , there are buildings that taper towards the outside and give the stadium a characteristic shape. There are five soccer fields and large parking spaces around the stadium.

Surname

From 1998 to 2008 the facility was named Ecco Stadium after the main sponsor at the time. From 2012 until the end of the 2015 season, the venue was called Brainwash Stadion De Vliert . After the contract expired, it was named Timmermans Infra Stadion De Vliert from the 2015/16 season . Initially, a one-year contract was agreed with the cable and line service provider Timmermans Infra.
