Life

Origin and family

Stanislaus was a member of the Polish Count Latalski. His parents were the voivode of Posen , Janusz Latalski († 1557) and Barbara Kretkowska. He married on October 24, 1563 with Georgia Princess of Pomerania (1531–1574), a daughter of Duke George I and Margaret of Brandenburg . The marriage resulted in a daughter Marianna († 1599), who was married to Andrzej Czarnkowski (1560-1618), the voivode of Kalisch , from 1584/1585 .

Career

Latalski had been the Starost of Inowroclaw since 1556. After his father's death, on July 2, 1557 he also received the Starostei Schlochau. Together with his brothers he inherited half of Łekno near Exin in 1558 and compared himself with his brother Janusz in 1562 because of Schlochau. At this time he was also a royal secretary and deputy from Greater Poland to the Sejm of 1562/1563. Extensive owner acquisitions are documented for Latalski, for example half of the city of Netzwalde in 1566 . Inowroclaw he handed over to his son-in-law by royal consensus on December 17, 1592.
