Stanislav Hudec (born June 3, 1982 in Nitra , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who has had a trial contract with SG Cortina in the Italian A1 series since December 2012 .

Career

Stanislav Hudec began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HK Nitra , for whose professional team he made his debut in the first division , the second Slovak division, in the 1999/2000 season . He scored one goal in nine games and gave two assists. The defender then played for two and a half years for the Saguenéens de Chicoutimi in the Canadian junior league QMJHL before returning to his home country during the 2002/03 season, where he received a contract with MHC Martin from the Slovakian extra league .

From 2004 to 2007 Hudec played for HC Vítkovice Steel in the Czech extra league . The 2007-08 season began with the Slovak Vityaz Chekhov in the Russian Super League and finished it in Switzerland at the EHC Basel from the National League A . Basel he had to accept relegation, and he left the club to sign up for the 2008/09 season the HC Plzeň 1929 to join in the Czech Extraliga. After one goal and six assists in 40 games, he moved to the capital club HC Sparta Prague in January 2009 , which he left again in October after having played 35 extra-season games for Sparta. The former Slovak national player returned to his homeland via HC České Budějovice . There he received a contract with the top club HC Slovan Bratislava , with which he only failed in the playoff final at HC Košice at the end of the 2009/10 season .

For the 2010/11 season Hudec was committed by the Czech Extraliga participant HC Oceláři Třinec , with whom he then won the Czech championship title straight away . He started the 2012/13 season at HK Nitra , before moving to Italy in December, where he signed a trial contract with SG Cortina .

International

For Slovakia , Hudec took part in the junior division in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2000 and the U20 World Junior Championship in 2002 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 2006 World Cup , but remained unused during the tournament. He then made a total of ten appearances in the national jersey from 2006 to 2009.
