Redfoo
Stefan Kendal Gordy (born September 3, 1975 , Los Angeles , California ) better known by his stage name RedFoo , is an American singer , rapper , composer , songwriter , record producer , dancer , DJ and entertainer . He was a member of the LMFAO duo .
Life
RedFoo was born in Los Angeles on September 3, 1975 , the son of Berry Gordy Jr. , founders of the music label Motown and Nancy Leiviska . He attended Junior High School with will.i.am and GoonRock and then the Palisades Charter High School in Pacific Palisades .
Career as a musician
RedFoo began writing and producing songs in 1997 and formed a hip-hop band with Dre Kroon . In the same year the two released the album Balance Beam with several songs. However, the band broke up a little later and RedFoo tried his hand at day traders . He also supported rapper Defari on his album Focused Daily . In 2004 he was able to place himself in the Australian Top 50 charts together with rappers Figgkidd and Tech N9ne . In 2007, he and his nephew Skyler Austen Gordy alias Sky Blu founded the electro / hip-hop duo LMFAO , which has been on an indefinite break since autumn 2012. RedFoo also worked on Pitbull songs and wrote and produced three songs for Carly Rae Jepsen .
After LMFAO, he recorded a solo album entitled Party Rock Mansion . He then was one of the judges on the talent show The X Factor on Australian television. In September 2013, he had a number one hit in Australia with the single Let's Get Ridiculous , which he featured on the show .
