Stefan Langwieder (born January 8, 1987 in Munich ) is a former German - Austrian ice hockey player who last played for the Ravensburg Towerstars in the DEL2 .

Career

The 1.83 m tall defender began his career in 2002 with the young eagles Mannheim in the German junior league , in the 2004/05 season he was initially used in the Mannheim ERC in the Regionalliga , later he played his first five games in the DEL for the Adler Mannheim. In the following season, the right-shooter commuted between the eagles and their cooperation partner, the Heilbronner Falken , in the major league , before he announced his move to North America to the Portland Winter Hawks , a junior team from the Canadian WHL . For the 2007/08 season, Lang again returned to the Adler in Germany, but spent the season mainly with the Heilbronner Falken in the 2nd Bundesliga . For the 2008/09 season he moved to the Iserlohn Roosters and signed a two-year contract there. In the Sauerland , Lang again was initially scheduled as the seventh defender, but had to help out in regular play due to the defender's shortage of the Roosters in the early stages of the season. Here he showed excellent performances and stayed in the third defensive pair even after signing Mark Ardelan . On April 5, 2009, the Roosters announced the early extension of the contract until the end of the 2011/12 season. In addition to sporting reasons, Lang again opted for a long-term contract because he was able to combine ice hockey with his studies in Iserlohn. In the 2009/10 season he was able to surpass his offensive values from the previous year up to halfway through the season and with Collin Danielsmeier formed an effective defender pair .

Between 2012 and 2016 he was under contract with the Ravensburg Towerstars before ending his career.
