Stefano Cincotta (* 28. February 1991 in Guatemala City ) is a Guatemalan - German football player of Italian descent, who in defense primarily as a left -back is used.

Stefano Cincotta was born in Guatemala City to a Guatemalan mother and an Italian father. His parents emigrated with him to Germany when he was a child , where he grew up in Frankfurt am Main . Cincotta has Guatemalan , German and Italian citizenship .

Career

In the club

Cincotta played for Eintracht Frankfurt from an early age . From the Bambini on, he went through all youth teams.

In 2010 he went to arch rivals Kickers Offenbach in the 3rd division . He made his professional debut on August 21, 2010 when he came on as a substitute for Denis Berger on the fifth match day of the third division against SSV Jahn Regensburg in the 90th minute . The first season was rather mixed, as he was denied a 90-minute performance in nine season appearances. In the reserve, he came to five missions, which he completed from the beginning to the final whistle. In the following season he played in 19 third division games. His contract ran until summer 2012.

In mid-July 2012 he signed a one-year contract with the Swiss second division club FC Lugano . After his time in Lugano , he was initially without a contract in the summer of 2013 before the German third division side Wacker Burghausen signed him . In the 2014/15 season he was signed by Chemnitzer FC and stayed there until the end of the 2016/17 season. Then Cincotta joined SV Elversberg in the Regionalliga Südwest . At the beginning of the 2018/19 season he was only scheduled for the second team that competes in the Saarland League. Then Cincotta left SV Elversberg and moved to the football club Deportivo Guastatoya in Guatemala, which plays in the local first division, the Liga Nacional de Guatemala . Here Cincotta stayed until the end of the season before moving to Club Social y Deportivo Comunicaciones for the new season . In January 2020, Cincotta left the club and moved to Cobán Imperial .

National team

Cincotta would be eligible to play for the national teams of Germany , Guatemala and Italy . He first played for Germany from the U-17. Cincotta appeared five times for the U-17 , U-19 and U-20 of the DFB .

In March 2015, he was nominated for the first time for an international match for Guatemala's senior team. He made his international debut on March 27, 2015, when he came on for Moises Hernandez in the 1-0 defeat in the friendly against Canada in the 61st minute . With Guatemala he took part in the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup . Cincotta scored his first international goal on June 16, 2015 in World Cup qualification; against Bermuda he scored a 1-0 win.
