Steffen Schlösser

Steffen Schlösser (born February 10, 1984 in Worms ) is a German actor , speaker and musician .

Life

education

Schlösser grew up in Wachenheim in Rheinhessen . He received musical training at an early age and learned to play the piano . From the age of 15 he was active in various band projects, in cover bands (in the styles of rock, pop, blues and jazz). He also played in his school's big band . In 2002 he founded a band with some friends, for which he also wrote some songs. In 2004 the band came first in the "Rhineland-Palatinate Youth Jazz Competition" in Montabaur .

After graduating from high school, he initially had several jobs as a keyboardist and pianist. From 2004 to 2007 he first completed a dual course of study in the field of " International Business Administration " at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Mosbach , Bad Mergentheim branch, which he completed with a degree in business administration (DH). He then worked for two years from 2007 to 2009 as a project manager in the marketing department of a company in the field of industrial automation.

From 2009 to 2012 he studied acting at the European Theater Institute in Berlin , where he graduated as a state-certified actor. During his training he took part in numerous scenic and musical projects. For the Revue secretaries of Franz Wittenbrink he was due to his musical talent already committed to beginning his studies as a pianist for the production of the then end cap and public appearances in and around Berlin. On the side he also worked as a pianist in a Berlin café. In the final production of his year of training at the European Theater Institute, he played the old Count Maximilian von Mohr in Schiller's Die Räuber .

He later completed numerous professional training courses ( Alexander technique , Meisner class with Hendrik Martz, and film and camera workshops).

After completing his training, he became a permanent member of the ensemble at the Mecklenburg State Theater Parchim , of which he was a member from the end of August 2012 until the end of the 2014/15 season. There he appeared in adult theater as well as several times in children's and youth theater. Schlösser also took on the musical direction of several productions and wrote compositions for incidental music.

His greatest success at the Parchim Theater, which he later continued as an independent actor, was his participation in Faust, the first part of the tragedy in a one-man production by Thilo Schlüssler , in which he took on all the roles. With this production, he initially made guest appearances during his permanent engagement, primarily in northern and eastern Germany . Since the end of his engagement in Parchim in 2015, he has continued to play this production as an independent actor in his own, further developed form in the evening program for adults as well as for schools, cultural centers, basement stages and off-stages throughout Germany.

Other roles at the Parchim State Theater included a. Sigismund Sülzheimer in the operetta Im Weißen Rößl (2012-2014), the sea king, shark and sailor in the Christmas play The Little Mermaid (2013/14 season), the title role and Mick in the stage version of Wolfgang Herrndorf's novel Tschick (2013-2015) , Sergeant Trotter in Die Mausefalle (2013-2015), the main male role of Jean-Luc in the comedy Venice in the Snow by Gilles Dyrek (2014/15 season), the Dutchman Michel in The Cold Heart (2014/15 season) and Albert in The Sorrows of Young Werther (2014/15 season).

Since the spring of 2016 he has been active as an actor and artistic director in several acting and music projects at the Hamburg Scharlatan Theater . In the 2016/17 season he appeared at the Contra-Kreis-Theater in Bonn as Max in the tabloid comedy The Secret of the Three Tenors by Ken Ludwig .

In the summer of 2017, he played the main role of Prebislav or the Sorbian King as a guest actor with the Sorbian National Theater Bautzen at the Spreewald Night of Legends (Part 3, The Hope ) on the open-air stage in Burg im Spreewald . In the 2018/19 season he will take on the role of the painter Basil Hallward in a stage version of The Portrait of Dorian Gray for the Fürth theater guest performances .

Movie and TV

In 2009 Schlösser stood in front of the camera for the first time, for an image film of his employer at the time, Lauda Dr. R. Wobser . He worked on various free film and short film projects. In the film project Sinnsucht (2016) Schlösser played the main role of the “fanatical jogger” Falk Wegner.

2016 shot locks for the ZDF crime series The Public Prosecutor . In the episode Love and Wut , which first aired in February 2017, he played Andreas Franke, the bartender at a Wiesbaden gay bar.

In the WDR radio play SYNAPSIS by Jörg Diernberger in 2017 he spoke the role of the young assistant doctor Ugo; the one-hour radio play was broadcast in May 2017 on the radio stations WDR 3 and WDR 5 .

Others

Schlösser lives in Mainz or on a project basis at various locations in German-speaking countries. In addition to his acting projects, he also works as a composer or songwriter, sound designer and musical director. Since 2018 he has also been a speaker for free weddings and wedding ceremonies . His hobbies include music and sports activities .
