Thilo Schlüßler (* 1972 in Pasewalk ) is a German actor , theater director and since 2017 managing director of KUBIBE.Berlin gGmbH of the VIA group of companies.

Life

After graduating from high school , Schlüßler trained as an electrician for high-voltage and power plant construction. After doing some freelance work as a director and actor, he studied acting at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig from 1997-2001 . Graduated with a diploma . This was followed by engagements at the National Theater Weimar , Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus , Stadttheater Pforzheim and the Mecklenburg State Theater Parchim , of which he was deputy artistic director from 2003 to 2005. Back in Berlin, he withdrew from permanent engagements and intensified work on issues relating to society, founded several theater and art projects and in 2008 received a prize at the 8th Berlin Youth Forum. Since 2015 he has been back in Germany as a director .

Thilo Schlüßler married for the second time in 2008 and has been called Thilo Schwarz-Schlüßler ever since. However, he keeps his old name in his artistic work.
