Steinbach is a district of Külsheim in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

The village is located in the Tauberfranken region , northwest of the main town Külsheim. The state road 500 leads through the village.

The village of Steinbach ( ), the courtyards Hinterer Meßhof ( ) and Vorderer Meßhof ( ) as well as the abandoned farms Gickelhof ( ) and Otterhof ( ) belong to the former municipality of Steinbach . The courtyards outside the local area are clearing settlements .

history

The place, as well as the adjacent dog home, was first mentioned in a document in 1214. The place name is derived from the Steinbach , a stream filled with stones.

Steinbach was incorporated into the city of Külsheim together with the Steinfurt community on January 1, 1975.
