Stephen Miller (born August 23, 1985 in Santa Monica , California ) is Donald Trump's Senior Advisor to the President of the United States, one of the closest advisers to the President of the United States and also his speechwriter. Life

Stephen Miller, who came from a liberal Jewish family - with maternal roots in Belarus - grew up in Santa Monica. Miller first attended Santa Monica High School . He criticized the issue of condoms to minors, the approval of a club for homosexuals and what he saw as the negligent use of the Pledge of Allegiance , the customary oath of allegiance to the nation and flag in US schools. After finishing school, Miller studied political science at Duke University in North Carolina and graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2007 . In an article for a student newspaper, Miller described himself as "a staunch conservative who feels it is his duty to stand up to the left . "

David Horowitz (* 1939), also the arch-conservative founder of Students for Academic Freedom , has been Miller's political mentor since his school and university days . During his studies and the time they spent together in a conservative student organization, Miller's friendship with Richard B. Spencer , the publicist and founder of the right-wing national movement Alt-Right, began, which continues to this day .

After graduating from university, Miller went to Washington, DC. There he initially worked as a press officer for the Republican MP Michele Bachmann , which was closely related to the ultra-conservative tea party movement at the time . As Sessions' advisor, Miller fought against a relaxation of immigration laws and warned of the dangers of radical Islam . MPs like Ilhan Omar and Jackie Speier then called on the President to fire Miller.
