Steven Keir (born November 8, 1979 in Bundaberg ) is an Australian volleyball player .
Career
Keir began his sporting career with cricket and rugby . At the high school in Bundaberg he got into volleyball thanks to a talent promotion. He started with the Queensland Pirates in 1998 . In 2000 he took part in the Olympic tournament with the Australian national team. During the games in Sydney he also met his wife from Ravensburg . In 2001 he went to Italy, where he played for the second division Esse-ti Carilo Loreto , Casanova DVS Asti and Terra Sarda Cagliari until 2005 .
Then the outside attacker, who had previously occupied the diagonal position, switched to the Aon hotVolleys Vienna . He played in the Champions League with the Austrian Bundesliga club and was named the best server there. In 2007 he won the Austrian championship . Then Keir came to the German Bundesliga team Generali Haching . A year later he went to the Greek club PAOK Thessaloniki , which went bankrupt , which is why the Australian played in Bahrain until the summer . From there he moved to Rennes Volley in France in 2009 . In 2011 he returned to Germany and played for Moerser SC until 2013 .
