The Playmobil Children's Fund is a children's foundation that was established in 1995 by the Playmobil company owner Horst Brandstätter .

Goals and projects

The aim of this foundation is to support the education and upbringing of children and adolescents, but also to promote social and medical care for children and to provide them with guidance on active and creative play in order to promote their healthy physical , psychological and emotional development to guarantee.

Projects

"Active ships"

Since it was founded, 17 so-called “active ships” have been sent to schools , kindergartens and day-care centers in Zirndorf , Würzburg , Nuremberg-Gebersdorf , Waldmünchen , Bad Windsheim , Unterhaching , Bayreuth , Nuremberg-Herpersdorf , Hemau , Lindenholzhausen , Oberasbach , Werbig (Bad Belzig) , Sondershausen , Iphofen and Hungen donated.

"Active Arks"

Since January 2018, this foundation has also been donating so-called “active arks” to the crèches . The first is already in Oberasbach .

“Forest Pirate Camp” in Heidelberg

Since 2003, in cooperation with the German Childhood Cancer Foundation, children with cancer have been given the opportunity to recover from their debilitating therapies. Thanks to supervision, there are sport and leisure activities, handicrafts and works as well as theater rehearsals . Playmobil's Children's Fund Foundation has also financed such a children's camp in Heidelberg since 2017 .

"Learning tree houses"

In July 2018 the first “learning tree house” in Diespeck was donated.
