Stirling is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced in 1999 as one of nine constituencies in the electoral region of Mid Scotland and Fife , which was redesigned as part of the constituency revision in 2011 and continues to include nine constituencies. Parts of the former constituency of Ochil belonging to the Stirling Council Area were added to the constituency of Stirling . The constituency sends a representative.
The constituency extends over an area of 2105.1 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 73,745 people lived within its borders.
