Christoph Well (called Stofferl , born December 3, 1959 in Günzlhofen ) is a Bavarian musician and multi-instrumentalist . He is known as a member of the now defunct Biermösl Blosn .

Life

Christoph Well is the second youngest of 15 children of the schoolmaster Hermann Well and his wife Gertraud from the village of Günzlhofen near Fürstenfeldbruck . He studied trumpet and was solo trumpeter with the Munich Philharmonic under Sergiu Celibidache and later a concert harpist.

The Biermösl Blosn began in 1976 with folk music performances, as they had previously performed under the guidance of their father. The music group consisting of Christoph, Michael and Hans Well combined Bavarian folk music ( Stubnmusi ) and dialect with political and satirical texts and can therefore be counted as part of the area of new folk music . It gained nationwide notoriety when in 1981 - "accidentally" invited to the traditional tapping of the Maibock in Munich's Hofbräuhaus - the ruling party CSU in connection with the mass arrest of Nuremberg in front of the assembled ministers and state parliament members and thus caused a political scandal.

Biermösl Blosn often worked with Gerhard Polt , occasionally appeared on the ARD program Scheibenwischer and was a critical companion of Bavarian politics for the next three decades. Three of her sisters, Moni, Vroni and Burgi, founded the Bavarian folk music and cabaret group Wellküren based on their model in 1986 . The last appearance of the Biermösl Blosn took place on January 18, 2012. The group broke up after internal differences. Christoph and Michael Well appeared in the Münchner Kammerspiele in February 2012 with a house music evening directed by Franz Wittenbrink together with their sisters from the group Wellküren . This formation has since appeared as the Well Siblings . He also founded the group Wellbrüder aus'm Biermoos with Michael and Karl Well, which also appears with Gerhard Polt in the cast and style of Biermösl Blosn. A biography of Biermösl Blosn from the perspective of Christoph and Michael Well under the title Biermösl Blosn - Tokyo - Cape Town - Hausen was published in early April 2013.

As editor, Christoph Well was responsible for the new edition for the centenary of the Klampfn-Toni , a well-known Bavarian songbook , and is co-editor of numerous other songbooks. Under the title Auftanz , he published a collection of folk dances for string and dance music ensembles at Musikverlag Preißler in 2006. In 2011, the sound carrier I kiss you a thousand times and am pop and fall, your WA Mozart was released. The Bäsle letters read by Christoph Well. He has been touring German-speaking stages with this program since 2011. Together with the organist Franz Hauk from Ingolstadt and various orchestras, he performs as a classical musician at home and abroad. Once a month he moderates his own radio program for BR (Tradimix) and designs a TV program for BR under the title “Stofferl Wells Bayern”.
