The company Strosek Design GmbH & Co. KG was a German vehicle tuner based in Utting . At the beginning of the 21st century, Strosek was the tuner with the most extensive range of Porsche conversions in Europe.

After the production hall of the supplier Polytech fell victim to a fire at the turn of the year 2011/2012 , in which most of the molds for the tuning parts were destroyed, Vittorio Strosek is back as a freelance automotive designer a. a. active for Arden , RUF and Abt .

The following company is now based in Stegen am Ammersee , but the programs for the Nissan 370Z and the Porsche Cayman are still offered.

Tuning

Strosek originally specialized in tuning Porsche vehicles, but has also devoted himself to other models over the years. It was founded in 1971 by Vittorio Strosek .

history

Vittorio Strosek started his own business in 1971 after one year of freelance work with Luigi Colani . He named his first company Studio Auto Mobil Design and was initially involved in development contracts for various well-known companies.

In 1982 he founded the company Strosek Auto Design and dedicated himself to the manufacturer Porsche. One of the first models was the Porsche 928 . He was followed by u. a. the Strosek 944 Turbo and, last but not least, the 911 model as "Flatnose" with projection headlights.

Aerodynamics was a focus of the work. So was z. In 1983, for example, the BIWING study was presented, which came up with a drag coefficient (c w value) of 0.21.

Finally, one devoted to other vehicle manufacturers, such as B. Ferrari . On behalf of the König Specials company, various Ferrari models were developed as part of a sports program.

At the Geneva Motor Show in 1992, Strosek Design showed various Porsche models with gullwing doors , the type of linkage that could later be found in the Mercedes SLR .

This was followed by an engagement in racing (Porsche Super Cup, ADAC GT Cup) with Porsche 928 and 911.

In 1993 Vittorio Strosek designed the 300ZX TwinTurbo as a wide version for Nissan. The "Strosek Nissan 300ZX TwinTurbo" conversion kit, which was then taken over and offered by the Strosek company, became one of the most successful models that Strosek offered.

In 1994, Strosek was invited by Lamborghini to join the “Next Generation Diablo ” project alongside renowned tuners like Pininfarina , Bertone , Giugiaro and Gandini .

In the following years, Strosek also worked on models from Volkswagen ( Sharan with Porsche technology, Polo , Bora , New Beetle ), projektzwo (VW Bus T4, Beetle, Golf IV, Audi A3, Audi A4), Bitter (Berlina ) and Honda (design study ,Logo').

In 1999 Strosek finally presented 16 vehicles at the IAA in Frankfurt .

In 2001, the focus was on Honda : the Honda Stream study and a facelift of the Honda HR-V were presented at the IAA in Frankfurt, followed by a Honda CR-V with an extraordinary louvre roof from Webasto in 2002 in Geneva .

In 2004, however, the bankruptcy followed . Vittorio Strosek was able to avoid the auction that had already been scheduled at the Landsberg District Court by selling the company and his private villa to the current owner and managing director, Stefan Schneider (see extract from the commercial register ).

In 2006 Mr. Vittorio Strosek left the company and is now based in Riederau / Ammersee with his current company V-Tec Design GmbH as a freelance designer a. a. active for companies such as Arden, ABT, Ruf, FAB Design (Switzerland) (see extract from the commercial register)
