In Germany the HR-V I was offered for sale from 1999 to 2005. Production ended in 2006 and the model offered in Japan as the Honda Verno was replaced by the Honda Crossroad 2 in 2007 .
The vehicle was based on the platform of the Honda logo and was offered as three- and five-door models. The engine consisted of a 1.6-liter engine with 77 kW (105 PS) and a 1.6-liter engine with 91 kW (124 PS) and VTEC . A 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT transmission were available as transmissions . The power transmission to the road took place by means of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive / Real Time 4WD (the rear wheels were switched on automatically if required).
In 2001 a facelift was carried out, which resulted in the fog lights being integrated directly into the bumper.
From 2005 the HR-V was only offered as a five-door model with front-wheel drive.
Since the HR-V does not have an off-road reduction, the off-road properties are only moderate, so that short, steep slopes can only be tackled with a run-up. The HR-V has a De-Dion axle at the rear . The last starting price was € 18,130.
