The Honda XR-V is a sport utility vehicle from the Japanese car manufacturer Honda .
background
The vehicle is a derivative of the second generation Honda HR-V offered in Europe and North America . It is sold exclusively in the People's Republic of China . It is built by Dongfeng-Honda . The XR-V differs from the HR-V in that it has a different front and rear design.
Honda's other joint venture, Guangqi Honda Automobile , still produces the Honda Vezel in China , which looks much more similar to the HR-V.
history
The SUV was presented at the Chengdu Auto Show in August 2014. It has been available in China since November 2014. The XR-V was revised in summer 2019.
Technical specifications
At the market launch, the XR-V was powered either by a 96 kW (131 PS) 1.5-liter petrol engine or a 100 kW (136 PS) 1.8-liter petrol engine. The smaller motor is also used in the HR-V. Both variants have a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, a continuously variable gearbox is available at an additional cost . With the facelift in summer 2019, the 1.8-liter gasoline engine was replaced by a turbocharged version of the 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 130 kW (177 hp).
