Production started at the Honda Sayama plant in Saitama at the beginning of May 2011 at the Honda Suzuka plant in Mie . The Fit Shuttle was nominated for the Car of the Year Japan 2012 award . The drive of the station wagon comes from the Fit / Jazz. It has a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine with 88 kW (120 PS) as standard. A hybrid version, the Fit Shuttle Hybrid, is also available with a 1.3-liter i-VTEC engine with IMA . A CVT transmission drives the front wheels. With the optional all-wheel drive models, the power is transmitted via a five-speed automatic transmission. The Fit Shuttle has a double trunk and is also produced as a delivery van without rear seats. Thanks to better sound and heat insulation than the Fit, the Fit Shuttle should be as quiet as a mid-range sedan.
