The 2014 Supersport World Championship season was the 16th in the history of the FIM - Supersport World Championship . 13 races were held. Michael van der Mark became world champion .

There were numerous new features in the racing calendar for the 2014 season. One of the two races in Italy switched from Monza to Misano . The races in Germany and India as well as the European run were completely deleted from the calendar , which is why the event in Great Britain moved from Silverstone to Donington Park .
The races in South Africa and Malaysia were completely new to the calendar .
