The 2012 Supersport World Championship season was the 14th in the history of the FIM - Supersport World Championship . 13 races were held.

All pilots competed on Pirelli uniform tires.

The racing calendar for 2012 was only slightly changed compared to the previous year. The only new race that was added was the event at the Moscow Raceway in Moscow .
