The 2007 Supersport World Championship season was the ninth in the history of the FIM - Supersport World Championship . 13 races were held.

Distribution of points

The world champion will be the driver or manufacturer who has accumulated the most points in the world championship by the end of the season. When distributing points, the placements are taken into account in the overall result of the respective race. The top fifteen drivers in each race receive points according to the following scheme:

• All pilots competed on Pirelli uniform tires.
• Superior champion was Turk Kenan Sofuoğlu on a the Dutch team Hannspree Ten Kate Honda used Honda CBR 600 RR . Sofuoğlu set a new record for the Supersport World Championship with eight wins from 13 races and 276 World Championship points and became the first ever Turkish motorcycle world champion.
