The synagogue was originally an American chapel , which was converted into a synagogue in 2001/02. 480,000 euros were needed to buy and renovate the chapel. description

Outside

The facade has a particularly emphasized central axis. In the lower central axis there is a rectangular portal, above a staggered triple window , which is framed and structured by flat wall templates. The triple window is crowned by a roof turret that is just as wide as the window group.

Inside

“Hear Israel! Adonai (synonym) is our God; Adonai is the only one. "

In the east wall is the apse with the Aron Ha-Kodesch . The apse shows a starry sky.

The wooden Aaron HaKodesh has a rounded arch; on the arch the two tablets of the law , in front of them the Ner Tamid . The shrine has a blue curtain with an elaborate embroidery: This shows the two Mosaic tablets of the law between two columns with upright lions above a crown. The shrine is flanked by two menorot . On the arch above the apse is the Shema Yisrael : "שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ יְהֹוָה אֶחָד"
