TJ Miller
Todd Joseph Miller (born June 4, 1981 in Denver , Colorado ) is an American actor and comedian .
Life
He studied psychology at George Washington University and acting at the British Academy of Dramatic Arts, Oxford . He then moved to Chicago to focus on his comedy career. He was able to establish himself in the improvisation scene and eventually became a permanent member of the theater group The Second City .
With The Extended Play EP , Miller released a concept album on September 12, 2011, on which Bo Burnham , Doug Benson , Pete Holmes , Ugly Duckling and Johnny Polygon appeared.
In 2010 Miller was diagnosed with a life-threatening arteriovenous malformation , which could be corrected after a successful brain operation. He has been married to his long-time girlfriend, actress Kate Gorney , since September 2015 .
On March 18, 2018, Miller was arrested after setting off a bomb alarm on a New York train. According to train attendants, he was heavily drunk when he made the emergency call to alert a woman he classified as dangerous. He was later released on bail. In a trial, Miller could be sentenced to up to five years in prison.
