TS Orgel is the author's pseudonym of the brothers Tom Orgel (* 1973 in Görlitz ) and Stephan Orgel (* 1976 in Görlitz).

life and work

Both graduated from the Herzog-Christoph-Gymnasium in Beilstein .

Tom Orgel obtained his diploma in graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg in 2003 . He lives with his wife and two sons in the Lower Franconian town of Spessart and works as a freelance graphic designer and copywriter.

Stephan Orgel is a publisher and studied business administration . He lives and works in Hessen .

Together they work under TS Orgel as writers of short stories and novels. Her first novel Orks vs. Zwerge was published by Heyne Verlag in 2012 . It reached the longlist in the category of best debut at the Fantastik-Literaturpreis Seraph , the jury award of the Fantastic Academy, and in October 2013 was awarded the German Fantastic Prize for the best German-language debut at the Frankfurt Book Fair . In October 2017, the final volume of her novel trilogy Die Blausteinkriege was published , which reached number 17 in the Spiegel bestseller list that same month . Her first science fiction novel TERRA, published in 2018, landed again in the Seraph 2019 category of best book among the best 4 novels.

In various anthologies (e.g. 'The Little Cooks' or 'Stories from the Autumn Lands') they published alongside their mother, Silvia Orgel, who received the Putlitzer Prize for the best short story in 2012.
